Email, text or call prior to 10am the day of to cancel a walk. Always follow up with us if you do not receive a confirmation by 10:30am. In the case that your walker arrives at your home before you have contacted the office to cancel the walk, you will be charged for the walk. Cancellations or walk requests must go through the office.
Holidays that Salty Dog does not service: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day. If you need a walk on those days, please request one. Holiday walks will incure a $10 surcharge.
Regular Service Days/Times
Our regular service prices apply to Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM. If you need a walk outside of those times, please submit an email request to Melissa (email@example.com) or call/text 310-351-4398. Morning, Evening and Weekend walks will incure a $5 surcharge. Special walks may be performed by someone other than your normal walker; we will confirm with you who your substitute walker will be.
Updating the Office
Clients are responsible for updating the office with any changes pertaining to their dog(s). An email or text is preferred so we can always have it on file. Examples of changes that should be sent through the office include: specific training or walking instructions, changes to feeding instructions, etc.
In the event your walker is not available to walk your dog(s), we will provide a substitute. We do not inform clients ahead of time if there will be a substitute walker unless the substitution is for an extended period of time. If you would like to be informed when there is going to be a substitute walker, please let us know so we can update your file.
Salty Dog requires two copies of each client’s key – a copy for your regular walker to keep and a copy for the office in case of an emergency. Your keys are numbered so that you name is not associated with them, and they are kept in a secure lockbox. If you prefer, we can provide a key safe to be kept outside your home for $25. If you need a key cut, we charge $20 to pick up your key, take it to have copies made and return the original to you.
Invoices for the previous month’s services are sent via email on the last day of the month. Payment is due by the 10th of the following month. We do not currently accept credit card payment but gladly accept checks, cash or PayPal payments. Payment can be left for your walker to bring to the office, or you can mail your payment to the office at: 621 30th Street, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.
